Accessibility Statement — Shato Tours
Shato Tours is committed to ensuring equal and convenient access to all content and services on our website and online channels. We implement the requirements of Israeli Standard IS 5568 (Part 1 — web content; Part 2 — digital documents), which is based on WCAG 2.0 Level AA (W3C). This page is published to meet the requirement to post an accessibility statement and information about accessibility arrangements. We centralize information about digital and offline accessibility and feedback channels (Government of Israel).
1) Who we are and how to contact us about accessibility
Shato ToursCorrespondence & appointments (by prior booking): 22/1 Yael Rum St., Petah Tikva, Israel
Tel: +972-52-639-0203, +972-52-886-4940 (Sun–Fri 09:00–17:00)

Accessibility Coordinator (if required by law): organizations that provide services to the public and employ 25+ staff members must appoint an internal accessibility coordinator. Once we meet the applicable threshold, we will publish the coordinator’s name and contact details on this page (Government of Israel).
2) Target standard and scope
Target conformance: IS 5568 Part 1 (web content) at WCAG 2.0 Level AA for the website and web apps; IS 5568 Part 2 for PDFs/Word and other digital documents published on the site (W3C).
Scope: public website pages, booking forms, tour/transfer information pages, news/blog, downloadable files (price lists, itineraries, etc.).
What may not be fully accessible: historical/archived content, third-party widgets (maps/social/payment), supplier-provided materials (PDFs, images), embedded media, and user-generated content.
In Israel, IS 5568 aligns with WCAG 2.0 Level AA; government bodies explicitly reference this alignment in their accessibility statements (Government of Israel).
3) What we’ve already implemented
- Structural semantics: proper headings, lists, descriptive captions, and alternative text for images.
- Keyboard navigation: logical focus order, visible focus, “skip to content”.
- Contrast & scaling: sufficient color contrast; text scaling without loss of functionality.
- Forms: labels and hints, error messages, proper label–input/ARIA associations.
- Compatibility: support for major browsers and assistive technologies (screen readers, etc.).
These measures follow best practices for conforming to IS 5568/WCAG 2.0 Level AA (clym.io).
4) Ongoing improvements
Despite our efforts, some sections and third-party integrations may include elements that need improvement (e.g., maps, external payment/analytics systems, legacy PDFs). We are addressing these on a rolling basis and provide alternative ways to obtain information and make bookings (phone/e-mail/WhatsApp), as recommended by Israeli web accessibility guidance (Government of Israel).
5) Accessibility of offline services and alternative channels
Shato Tours provides tours, transfers, and related services. For customers with specific needs, we offer:
- Information and assistance when choosing tours/transfers and pickup points, including known route/location constraints.
- Alternative formats (upon request): itineraries, instructions, and other documents in accessible formats (plain text versions, large print, etc.).
- Assistance by phone or e-mail if the website is difficult to use—our staff can place a booking on your behalf.
Publishing and maintaining information about accessibility arrangements for services and venues is a recommended practice; we centralize such information on this page and update it as things change (Government of Israel).
6) Standards, law, and industry references
- Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities (Service Accessibility Adjustments) Regulations, 2013 — framework for service accessibility and the duty to make adjustments, including digital (websites/apps) (Law.co.il).
- IS 5568 (Parts 1 & 2) — Israeli standard for web content and digital document accessibility; based on WCAG 2.0 Level AA (W3C).
- Obligation to publish an accessibility statement and a centralized section on measures and contact channels (Government of Israel).
- Appointment of an accessibility coordinator — for organizations serving the public with 25+ employees (Government of Israel).
- Explanations and practical guidance for implementing web/app accessibility in Israel (Kol Zchut — “All Rights”).
7) Compatibility and technical limitations
The site is designed to function correctly in current versions of major browsers (Chrome, Edge, Safari, Firefox) with standard OS and assistive-technology settings. Some third-party features (maps, social widgets, external payment pages) follow their own accessibility policies and may differ slightly from our standards.
8) Feedback and requests for accessible formats
If you encounter a barrier or need content in an accessible format, contact us via:
E-mail: info@shato.tours
Tel: +972-52-639-0203 / +972-52-886-4940
We aim to respond promptly and provide alternative access to information/services, and we consider your feedback in our improvements. The “provide accessible format upon request” approach aligns with guidance from government sources (Government of Israel).
9) Audit date and methodology
Last internal accessibility review: September 14, 2025
Methods used: manual and tool-based testing of key page templates, keyboard navigation checks, contrast and heading-structure checks, spot checks with assistive technologies; content and template adjustments prioritized against WCAG 2.0 Level AA (clym.io).
10) Legal disclaimer
We take reasonable measures to ensure the accessibility of our site and services in line with IS 5568/WCAG 2.0 Level AA and applicable regulations. However, given reliance on third-party components and ongoing updates, temporary non-conformities may occur. We will make efforts to remedy them promptly upon notice. The rights of persons with disabilities are guaranteed by Israeli law; in case of any conflict, legal and regulatory provisions prevail (Government of Israel).
